Lions U15 lost 2-1 to Ebbe Sand Soccer Academy

[ SPL U15 ] Shanghai Lions FC 1 – 2 Ebbe Sand Soccer Academy

It was great weather and as usual the field at Concordia was perfect to play on against Ebbe Sand Soccer Academy ! As most of our U15 players have not had experience to play competitive 11 aside football yet we knew it would not be easy. However in the past trainings we focused on pure basic passing between defenders, midfielders & attackers.

It worked well in the first part of the match as we could have longer possession and let the ball move around among our players. It was a wonderful strike from Daniel at the edge of the box which gave us a 1-0 lead. However we lost focus soon after and gave away a goal which left the score 1-1 at half time.

We tried to make the players aware of the first part of the game during the half time talk and hope we could get back into the game but 5 minutes in the second half the scored again after we couldn’t clear the ball. Although we tried to step up our game we got another blow as David got tackled from behind and he had to leave the game with an ankle injury… Matty playing upfront for the last 10 minutes also could turn around our fortune.

We will work hard week after week to get more experience in playing 11 aside matches. it’s a process and with a positive attitude we will be there !
