The team “Les Bleus Shanghai” was founded in 1998. Historically, the name of the team was “Olympique Camembert” like the tasty and smelly cheese… However, as this name was impossible to understand for the non-connoisseurs; the team was renamed “Les Bleus Shanghai” in 2001.

The team was mainly composed of French-speaking expatriates and was playing 11-aside into the Shanghai International Football League (SIFL). For the season 2009/2010, it merged with the Shanghai Lions FC and ceased to exist.
