The Big Bamboo Shanghai Shooters Football Club compete in China’s top amateur expat league- the Shanghai International Football League (SIFL)- and since our formation in 1998 have become the most successful football team in the league’s history with 8 SIFL Premier League titles, 9 SIFL Cups, 3 Hebiguichi League Cup. We are also the only team to win the SIFL Treble in one season- a feat we have done 3 times.

Our success lies in our ability to attract an eclectic mix of Shanghai’s top footballers around a team culture of football and fun on and off the field. Historically most players came from the UK but nowadays, like the Premier League, we have expanded with the times to maintain our roots but form a truly global team in which in 2012 we have on our books the best footballers in Shanghai from the UK, Denmark, Chile, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, USA, New Zealand, Italy, Croatia, Serbia, Holland, Japan, Belgium, Guatemala, Ireland, France, Korea, the Basque, and even an ex China national team player.
