Lions on Record Run with 6-1 Win Over Japan

The Shanghai Lions continued their perfect run in the SIFL with a convincing 6-1 victory over Japan FC. This marks five wins in five games with an impressive 28 goals scored so far this season!

Match Summary

Japan FC, known for their dangerous counterattacks, came into the match full of confidence after strong results against DIB and the Shooters. But the Lions were well-prepared, deploying a deep defensive line, a disciplined midfield, and an in-form goalkeeper in Dim Dim.

From the start, the Lions dominated possession. Youngster Lucas, making his debut in the starting lineup, impressed with his composure and determination. Goals from Dani and Charles gave the Lions a 2-0 lead at halftime—Charles’ goal being a fortunate tap-in, but credit to his positioning!

🔁 Second Half Surge

The message at halftime was clear: get the third goal to kill the game. Japan stayed dangerous, but the Lions remained patient, building up play with poise. After hitting the crossbar three times, Dani broke through, scoring the third and soon after completing his hat-trick in style.

Late goals by Benji and Charles sealed the win, though Japan earned a deserved consolation for their hard work throughout the match.
