ABOUT OUR MINI LIONS
The Mini Lions team was created in 2020 after a successful Football Summer Camp we organized for players of a younger age. Therefore, we thought it was the right time for us to offer training and matches to kids aged between 6 to 9 years old.
The coaches are our own senior team players and trainings are both in Mandarin and English. Most of our Mini Lions are local Chinese. It’s a good chance for them to play with and against foreign players. It's also an opportunity for them to get a better understanding of English. Of course the most important is to master the first steps in football as for this age group it's key to learn the correct technique first as if correctly taught the players will benefit from that the rest of their football life.
The focus in our training sessions is based on the Coerver Coaching method like ball mastery, passing, ball control, shooting, dribbling, and of course some tricks. As for the matches, the main principle is to have fun as we like every Mini Lion to come but also leave with a smile on their face.

We are an amateur football club offering coaching, training & playing opportunities for local kids who are currently living in Shanghai. We’re NOT AT ALL in the trading of underaged players… and by the way, I don’t think it’s legal. Last but not the least, foreigners need a visa to come & stay in China.
You can try your luck with professional clubs such as Shanghai Shenhua FC or Shanghai Port FC but I’m almost sure the answer will be the same.
