4th SHANGHAI INTERNATIONAL MASTERS 7-ASIDE SOCCER TOURNAMENT

Master Lions,

We are approaching our D-Day ! I am glad to see that everybody is in good shape coming back from the holidays !

10 teams sofar have confirmed to play for the Masters Title ! Our selection process has been severe as we need to get the best of the best of the Lions on the pitch at Waigaoqiao on Sept 1 / Sept 2 !

4th SHANGHAI INTERNATIONAL MASTERS 7-ASIDE
SOCCER TOURNAMENT

Saturday & Sunday, September 1 & 2, 2012

This Masters tournament is for players 35 years and older (within the year 2012). Teams are allowed to include 1 player above 33. Maximum size for each squad is 12 players, to be registered prior to tournament start.
Tournament fee is RMB 3.800 net per team or equivalent in other currency.
Format: Target is 16 teams playing in group stages;
Both Saturday and Sunday will be played in groups: Cup group consists of teams coming in first and second on Saturday; Plate
group consists of 3rd and 4th teams from each group.
Venue: Shanghai Rugby & Football Club
Field: Grass
Registrations: On ‘first come – first served’ basis; we close as soon as 16 teams have confirmed; Deadline: August 15th, 2012
Rules & Regulations: Will be sent out prior the tournament; medical assistance will be provided, however it is strongly recommended that all players have medical insurance as the organizers will take no responsibility for any injury.

Tournament schedule:

  • Friday, 31/8: Teams arriving in Shanghai; 7pm – 10pm: networking evening with free flow beer and finger food sponsored by Big Bamboo (venue Big Bamboo Nanyang Road)
  • Saturday, 9/1: 10am – 4pm: Group games 5pm onwards: BBQ on the pitch for all teams, sponsors and spectators with free beer for each team
  • Sunday, 9/2: 10am – 4pm: Second round games cup and plate groups, semi-final and final including trophy and medal ceremony. The tournament will be closed around 4:30pm in order for teams to catch their flights on time. From the fields to Pudong airport you will need about 20minutes.
