SPL made a great debut on PPTV !
Amigo’s and Amiga’s,
It was a historic event when one of our SPL game was live broadcast on PPTV. The setting was perfect at Century Park with 5 camera’s around the field the match didn’t disappoint either with a 4-2 score line. We hope to repeat this in the future and hope to be able to get sponsorship for it as PPTV is watched all over China and actually is the largest internet TV company in the world ! It’s a perfect set up to let the local people enjoy our SPL games as we can entertain people with our football games for sure. We got 4 games last Sunday and could catch up with our schedule. Originally we planned the Santa Cup on December 6th but the with so many games cancelled due to the wet weather we have no choice to play league games first. We still have small hope to hold the Santa cup on December the 13th weather permitting of course !
Cowboys 7-2 AVL Galacticos
Galacticos are improving with the help of some new players. Half time it was 3-0 for the cowboys with an in form Zhuang scoring 3 goals. The second half the Galacticos were looking for goals and scored two by Peter and Mike but the Cowboys added another 4 to make the final score 7-2 !
Krauts 3-3 Super 48
Bilgin complained about the name of Super 48 as the Japanese side looked young and fresh. He suggested to change their name into Super 24 maybe not a bad idea. That the Krauts goalie didn’t show up for the first 45 minutes didn’t help the Krauts. It was a hard game for them. Super 48 scored first but the Krauts fought back with goals from Oli and Aydin with a header. In the second half Super 48 was fitter and moved faster on the difficult and heavy pitch they equalized and even took the lead. Bilgin ordered a final attack and it was Marin’s header that decided the final score at 3-3 !
ERS 4-3 Japan
It was an entertaining game with both teams playing attacking football ! ERS surprised Japan with an early goal by Baiyang after a nice pass from Momo. ERS thought it would be an easy game but with three minutes Japan scored two goals on fast counter attacks. ERS was in a shock for sometime but regrouped themselves when Nico scored the equalizer in the 34th minute. Just before half time Nico scored again to make it 3-2. In the second half Japan kept pushing forward and now ERS was playing on the counter. In the 84th minute ERS sealed the deal after a great combination of short passes Viet scored. Japan didn’t give up and got a goal back but too late to change the final score, 4-3 for ERS !
Lions 4–2 Century Park FC
With camera’s everywhere both teams were eager to show a good game of football. It was a battle between young and fast players (CP FC) and older and more experience players (Lions). Usually Century Park would score in the first 10 minutes of the game but this time a poor clearance of the their defender set up Azzeddine who spotted the CP FC goalie in front of the his goal and lobbed the ball over him. The game went back and forward but Century Park equalized by Johnson to make it 1-1 at half time. In the second half the Lions got several free kicks but failed to score however in the 65th minute Johnson got his second yellow and CP FC was down to 10 men. They were pushed back but scored a great goal on fast counter good cross and a good header from Stach. It showed 8 minutes to go on the clock and now it was down to the experience of the Lions player to turn the game around. They did just that by scoring three goals in 8 minutes two by felix the Lions youngster and one goal by Dani. Great game for the spectators that’s for sure !
