Our Teams

As a football club, our goal is to manage and develop as many teams as possible. As a matter of fact, we're probably the only amateur football club in Shanghai having all senior, veteran but also youth teams playing all-together under the Lions banner.

  • Senior team : plays in the SPL on Sunday afternoons 11 aside at the Golden Bridge field in Jinqiao Pudong
  • Youth teams : play in SPL U16 and SPL U18 leagues on Saturday afternoons 11 aside at the Concordia International School field
  • Legend team : plays in the SPL V on Sunday mornings 11 aisde at the Wellington School field in Pudong

Our trainings are held at the Concordia International School Field in Jinqiao Pudong :

  • Each Tuesday 19:30-21:00 for our seniors, legends & selected youth players
  • Each Wednesday 19:00-21:00 for our youth players
  • Each Friday 19:30-21:00 for our youth players

  • Shanghai Premier League (SPL) : Our senior team is playing in SPL 11 a-side league on Sunday. The SPL was founded in 1998 and is one of the only sunday 11 a-side leagues in Shanghai. Teams from various ethnicity and backgroung are competing for the championship. Players are ususally aged between 18 and 35 years old. The SPL teams play on the best grounds of Shanghai.
  • Shanghai Premier League Veteran (SPL V) : Our "legends" team is playing in the SPL V on Sunday. Around 10 teams take part in the league and you need to be aged above 35 to play. We have won the league several times already and we also take part in veteran tournaments which are very popular in Asia such as the Shanghai Masters Cup.
  • Shanghai Premier League Youth (SPL Y) : Our youth teams are playing in the SPL Y on Saturday.
  • Shanghai International Premier League (SIFL) : We no longer play in this 11 a-side saturday league as we currently do not have enough senior players to sustain the enrolment in two competitive 11 a-side league... As we won this league many times, let's say that we still have a profound bound with this league and wanted to mention about it.
