[SPL News] The SPL is back

Amigo’s and Amiga’s,

Welcome back to all the players and supporters of the SPL! We have an early start this season as its our 10th anniversary which means a busy season with a lot of activities! We will be looking at the biggest Santa Cup so far organized on December 16th by inviting teams outside the SPL to join the party!

We had Six SPL teams in action and a few teams still preparing for the season! 20 goals in 3 games was a typical good entertaining SPL Sunday!

Lions – Super 48 9-0 The first 15 minutes of the game were for the Japanese, as usual, but they couldn’t get their goal. The lions once they found the net started to play better. Joel was on fire scoring 6 goals and made it clear he is up for the SPL Top Scorer award this season. After 9 goals the Lions stopped scoring as this was a lucky number!
Hawks – Cowboys 4-1 The last year Champions are back and made clear their ambition. They are the team to beat and the Cowboys put in a solid performance despite the loss they can build their confidence from this game.
Japan – Flamenkos 4-2 Japan played aggressive and they are looking younger and sharper this season. The Flamenkos a usual slow starter in the SPL missed the fitness and sharpness to break the Japanese defense this time!
