U17 to participate in Shanghai Youth Football Tournament

Last Friday 25th of June 2021, our management team attended the tournament coordination meeting of China (Shanghai) International Youth Football Invitational 2021. This youth football tournament involves some of the best U17 youth teams in Shanghai such as Shanghai Shenhua, Shanghai SIPG, Juventus Academy Shanghai, or Olympique Lyonnais (OL) Shanghai among other teams. A true recognition for our Lions Youth U17 being invited.

About China (Shanghai) International Youth Football Invitational

中国（上海）国际青少年校园足球邀请赛 is a youth football tournament co-sponsored by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government with the support of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, the Shanghai Sports Bureau, the Shanghai Returned Overseas Chinese Association, the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Development Foundation, as well as the China Middle School Sports Association. It has been held once a year since 2015.

Tournament format

There are a total of 10 teams divided into 2 groups
The tournament is held from the 2nd of July until the 7th of July 2021
The Venue is far but should be really good real grass in Jiading district
Each team plays 4 group stage matches and depending on the ranking, we’ll play your final match against the same ranking team of the other group.
Matches are either 09:30 am or 15:30 pm

04/Jul/2021 at 15:30 – Juventus Academy Shanghai vs Shanghai Lions FC
06/Jul/2021 at 09:30 – AKS Pudong vs Shanghai Lions FC
07/Jul/2021 – Final ranking game

As you can imagine, the all management team is proud and super excited to participate in this event. We have ordered 2 new kits, especially for this tournament. Be smart and don’t get injured now as you’ll miss the chance to play against top teams.
